Beech Hill Farm
Beech Hill Farm is the working farm of the College of the Atlantic on Mt. Desert Island, Maine. It was founded by alumni Barbarina and Aaron Keyerdahl in 1989, who later donated it to the school, and is currently managed by Anna Davis and David Levinson. The farm provides hands-on educational opportunities for work-study programs and independent projects, among other activities. It is uniquely designed to provide food for the college's kitchen, and also sells vegetables from their 6-acre production area at their farm stand, through a CSA, and to restuarants and retailers in the area.
